Service Partners
Services Options for UTStarcom Channel Partners
UTStarcom Channel Partners have several options to deliver services to their customers. A Channel Partner may resell UTStarcom services, deliver services through their own services organization, or offer their customers a combination of both. Generally, Representatives and Distributors will resell UTStarcom-delivered services, while Value Added Resellers will become certified as Authorized Service Partners and deliver services directly to their customers.
Representatives / Distributors
Representatives and Distributors who resell UTStarcom-delivered Services gain the following benefits:
  • Profit Margin –
    • Representatives will be compensated for sales of UTStarcom Services in the same manner as for sales of UTStarcom Products
    • Distributors can receive savings off of the price that UTStarcom would charge to the end user.
  • Breadth of Offerings – the full portfolio of UTStarcom Services is available
  • Coverage – service delivery is provided by UTStarcom worldwide
  • Simplicity – there is no need to build and maintain a services organization certified in UTStarcom products, or maintain an inventory of current revision spare parts
Value Added Resellers
Value Added Resellers who provide services to their customers directly will need to become certified as a UTStarcom Authorized Partner and can receive the following benefits from the program.
  • Ability to distribute Software updates and documentation to their customers
  • 24x7 backup (Level 3) technical telephone support from UTStarcom, Inc.
  • Positioning with customers as an “Authorized Service Partner”
  • Valid UTStarcom Warranty when installed and maintained by a certified Value Added Reseller
  • Ability to augment self-delivered services with UTStarcom-delivered services (full UTStarcom Services Portfolio)
